measurements are often considered to be the best tests that can be performed to diagnose a broad range of transformer defects. Used in a manufacturing/production environment, the Model 1053WR quickly identifies loose, or improperly welded connections, missing wire strands in crimped connections, or mis-identified phase relationships. It is ideally suited for commissioning, and periodic maintenance testing, of transformers in the field.  This instrument will quickly locate shorted, open, or overheated windings, and problems associated with tap-changing mechanisms.
